The Indian government is expanding its online platform, Sanchar Saathi, which helps track lost mobile phones. The website allows users to find missing phones, view SIM card numbers, and block numbers if necessary. The new iteration of Sancharsaathi.gov.in is set to launch on May 17th, which also happens to be World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. It contains various modules, including CEIR and TAFCOP, and has so far helped 4,70,000 people block stolen or lost phones and track over 2,40,000 mobile phones.
