WhatsApp is testing the ability to edit a sent message, with a new edit button being rolled out to selected beta testers globally. The feature, offered by rival messaging service Telegram since 2016, currently comes with caveats, including the inability to edit messages across two devices connected through Companion mode. WhatsApp has implemented a 15-minute edit window and will place an "Edited" label on changed messages. WhatsApp rolled out the feature on its web service earlier this week.
